Full-time Receptionist (Hotel Front Desk)

About the role

We are looking for a professional Receptionist to join our front‑desk team at Thon Hotel Harstad. The role is 100 % full‑time and involves rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights and weekends. You will report to the Reception Manager and work closely with a supportive team to ensure excellent guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Greet all guests in a professional and engaging manner.
• Handle guest check‑in and check‑out procedures efficiently.
• Manage the central phone system and respond to all inquiries.
• Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception lobby.
• Treat personal data confidentially and uphold privacy standards.
• Ensure the safety of guests and the hotel premises.
• Promote and upsell hotel products and services.
• Process cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Perform various ad‑hoc reception duties as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a similar front‑desk or hospitality role.
• Responsible and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude and ability to lift team morale.
• Team‑oriented and service‑focused.
• Adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Systematic, with high capacity for handling multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
