Senior Project Engineer – Control System Hardware

About the role

ABB is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead control system hardware projects, working closely with Norwegian and international customers and vendors. You will be part of a professional environment focused on delivering hardware solutions for ABB’s products, systems, and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware cabinets and recommend new hardware designs.
• Plan, execute, and manage engineering activities, including testing and offshore installation.
• Follow industry‑standard processes and procedures throughout project delivery.

Required profile

• Certificate of apprenticeship or relevant bachelor’s/master’s degree.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Norwegian is an advantage.
• Commercial awareness and willingness to learn and develop colleagues.

Required skills

• Experience with control system hardware design.
• Familiarity with STID, COMOS, or EBASE (or similar tools).
• Knowledge of automation and electrical systems is a plus.
