Assistent

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated assistant to support daily operations and pedagogical activities in our kindergarten, aligned with our values platform. You will help create an environment where every child feels valuable and can develop confidence, joy, and skills.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the kindergarten operates in line with the organization’s quality standards and values.
• Build respectful, equal relationships with children, listening to them and encouraging participation.
• Contribute a positive attitude and energy to both the children and the work environment.
• Share responsibility for care and educational tasks such as group sessions, activities, free play, and routine situations.
• Facilitate good cooperation with parents and guardians.
• Stay professionally updated by attending courses and training offered through the organization’s academy.

Required profile

• Relationship‑oriented, attentive to each child’s needs and communication.
• Ambitious, caring, and able to inspire engagement in children’s play and development.
• Solution‑focused, flexible, collaborative, and able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Independent, responsible, warm, and nurturing adult who identifies with the organization’s values.

Required skills

• Experience working with people, preferably in a childcare or similar setting.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to act as an active adult with children and implement safety measures.
• Good command of Norwegian, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to provide a police clearance before starting.
