Inspection Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Inspection Engineer to join the inspection team at the Equinor plant in Kollsnes, Norway. The role combines office work with on‑site inspections of static process equipment and structures, offering a varied and influential daily routine.

Key responsibilities

• Plan inspections of static process equipment and plant structures.
• Coordinate activities, develop staffing plans and conduct field inspections.
• Report findings, evaluate results and ensure quality of work orders.
• Review inspection reports and propose additional inspections as needed.
• Submit changes to the preventive maintenance program (FV‑program).

Required profile

• NS415 Operations Inspector certificate – Level 1 or higher.
• Engineering degree (BSc or MSc) with a focus on material science.
• Experience in inspection planning is an advantage.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in Norwegian and English.
