Medical Field Service Engineer

About the role

Vantive is looking for an experienced Medical Field Service Engineer to join its Oslo team on a fixed‑term contract from July 2026 to December 2027. The engineer will provide technical direction, support, and on‑site service for Vantive’s medical devices, acting as the primary technical contact for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and regular servicing of critical medical devices.
• Repair, install, upgrade, maintain, and decontaminate Vantive‑distributed medical equipment.
• Follow SOPs and quality‑system requirements for all service activities.
• Provide training and guidance to customer personnel on operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures.
• Report service activities accurately in the service system.
• Plan and organise daily field activities, manage own vehicle stock and ESD controls.
• Attend required training, meetings and provide telephone support to customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a field service engineer in a medical environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to use a wide variety of tools and test instruments.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities.
