Pedagogisk Medarbeider – Barnehage

About the role

We are looking for a passionate pedagogical staff member to support children’s development in our nature‑based kindergarten in Harstad. The role involves daily operations and implementing our educational concept aligned with the Læringsverkstedet values.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the kindergarten operates according to Læringsverkstedet’s value platform and quality standards.
• Build equal, respectful relationships with children, listening and encouraging participation.
• Contribute a positive attitude and energy to both children and the work environment.
• Co‑responsibility for care and pedagogical activities such as group sessions, activities, free play and routine situations.
• Support collaboration with parents and guardians.
• Keep professional knowledge up‑to‑date by attending courses and training offered by Læringsverkstedet Academy.

Required profile

• Relational and attentive to each child’s needs.
• Passionate about outdoor activities and nature‑based education.
• Solution‑oriented, flexible and collaborative.
• Able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Independent, responsible and caring adult.
• Identifies with Læringsverkstedet’s values.

Required skills

• Experience working with people or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Capability to act as an active adult with children and implement safety measures.
• Good Norwegian language skills, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of cooking with children (advantage).
• Police clearance required; personal suitability emphasized.
