Quality Control Laboratory Technician

About the role

Join a modern, ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician. You will perform analytical testing on raw materials, in‑process samples, stability samples and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing using HPLC, IR, Karl Fischer, TLC and other approved methods.
• Investigate out‑of‑specification, out‑of‑trend and atypical results following approved procedures.
• Conduct stability testing and maintain accurate study records.
• Record and review analytical results in line with data‑integrity requirements.
• Maintain, calibrate and qualify QC laboratory instruments.
• Participate in inter‑laboratory comparisons, proficiency testing and method verification activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical or process laboratory, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities for OOS, OOT and non‑conforming results.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is a plus.
• Structured, detail‑oriented and able to work independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with High‑Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
• Experience with Infrared Spectroscopy (IR) and Karl Fischer moisture determination.
• Proficiency in Thin‑Layer Chromatography (TLC).
• Familiarity with Gas Chromatography (GC) and chromatography data management systems.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality systems such as ISO 17025.
