Regional Ukraine Crisis Adviser – EurAsia (Internal)

About the role

The Regional Ukraine Crisis Adviser will support NRC country offices involved in the Ukraine response and in hosting Ukrainian refugees, primarily in Ukraine and Moldova. Reporting to senior management, the adviser will ensure programme strategies, structures and resources are optimally aligned with humanitarian objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide programme development, strategic planning support, advice and guidance to country directors and heads of programmes.
• Identify business development opportunities and support proposal development.
• Deliver induction training for country‑office programme staff.
• Support change‑management initiatives across the region.
• Lead strategy development at country level.
• Oversee programme evaluations at country level.
• Manage the Nansen NRC Ukraine Response 2025‑2027 project.

Required profile

• Proven manager or adviser experience in humanitarian, recovery or emergency response contexts.
• Strong knowledge of institutional donors’ strategies, priorities and compliance requirements.
• Track record of successful proposal development or partnership funding.
• Experience working in complex and volatile environments.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
