Reliability Engineer

About the role

As a member of the Reliability team, you will work locally in Stavanger while collaborating closely with the global reliability team in Houston, USA. You will support new product development and emerging technologies, ensuring reliability is built into cutting‑edge solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development programs for new technologies, planning and implementing reliability and technology qualification activities.
• Work with local and global development teams to embed Design for Reliability (DfR) tools and methods into equipment designs.
• Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to create maintenance strategies and improve system availability.
• Identify and validate test requirements for new technologies before market launch.
• Facilitate workshops on Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), Technical Risk Categorization (TRC) and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
• Analyze field failure data, manage reliability data collection, and update FMECA and related analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics or a related field.
• Minimum four years of engineering experience, with strong mathematics and statistics background.
• Hands‑on experience handling equipment failures in production or operation.
• Proficiency in FMECA and other reliability‑risk analysis methods.
• Fluent written and spoken Norwegian and English.
