Security Advisor – Information Security & Privacy

About the role

Telenor Norge is looking for a Security Advisor within its second-line security function, in the Security, Privacy & BCM unit of Information Security & Privacy. You will help develop and operationalise security management, protect critical information and functions, and turn regulatory requirements into effective, followed processes. The role combines security expertise with strong execution and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the organisation's security management system and maintain security controls, a risk library and GRC processes
• Carry out and quality-assure security risk analyses, value assessments and impact assessments
• Run security approval processes for sensitive information systems and compile decision documentation for regulatory processes
• Support dialogue with the regulatory department and the Norwegian Security Authority, and lead or take part in relevant forums
• Handle internal requests and advise leadership, the GRC team and first-line security resources
• Support risk reporting, maturity measurements, audits and inspections, and turn findings into improved controls and guidance

Required profile

• Higher education in information security, risk management or equivalent (relevant experience can compensate)
• Practical experience implementing, automating and operationalising security management, and GRC experience
• Good understanding of second-line responsibilities and knowledge of the Security Act and other regulatory requirements
• Experience with security risk analyses and very good spoken and written Norwegian
• Advantageous: maturity measurement experience, ISO 27001/27002 knowledge, certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISM or CRISC, and experience coordinating complex security matters
