Støttepedagog – 50% stilling i Haugenstykket barnehage

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate support pedagogue to work with children who need a little extra help in their daily kindergarten life. The position is up to 50% for the current kindergarten year, starting in September, with the possibility of extension. While further education in special pedagogy is preferred, other relevant education and experience are also welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with parents, the pedagogical leader, PPT, health services and other professionals to ensure coordinated support.
• Plan, implement and evaluate individualized measures for children with special needs together with families and staff.
• Facilitate the participation of supported children in ordinary activities, play and peer interactions.
• Develop and maintain individual development plans, work plans and evaluation reports.
• Provide information and guidance to other staff members and contribute to a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Required profile

• Approved higher education as a kindergarten teacher or preschool teacher; further education in special pedagogy is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet Norwegian language requirements as stipulated by law.
• Police clearance must be provided before starting.
• Experience or competence in special‑educational work in kindergarten or school is an advantage but not mandatory.
