Summer CFD Intern – 8‑Week Project

About the role

Yara Technology Center in Porsgrunn is seeking a motivated summer intern to support Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations of a key production process. The 8‑week project runs from June to August 2027 and offers hands‑on experience with advanced simulation tools in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design complex 3D geometries for CFD analysis.
• Perform single‑ and multiphase flow simulations using ANSYS Fluent.
• Prepare reports and present findings in English.

Required profile

• Student in the second to final year of a master’s program in chemical, mechanical engineering or a related field with strong academic record.
• Self‑driven, responsible and able to work in a diverse, multicultural team.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ANSYS Fluent for CFD simulations.
• Ability to create and manipulate complex 3D geometry models.
