Vice President of Operational Excellence

About the role

The Vice President of Operational Excellence will drive sustainable performance improvement across Yara’s global production network, translating strategic priorities into practical frameworks, performance management processes, and asset productivity initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Operational Excellence department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all production sites.
• Own the Core+ program and the TOPS steering system, ensuring reliable, cost‑competitive and sustainable plant performance.
• Steer capital allocation, LTAP and governance processes within the annual business planning cycle.
• Collaborate with Digital, Finance and Business Units to embed digital‑enabled improvements and identify next‑generation value opportunities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience leading technical or operational improvement teams in complex chemical or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to coach diverse teams and drive change through influence.
• Strong stakeholder management and commitment to safety, operational discipline and sustainable value delivery.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yara’s Technical Steering System (TOPS) and related performance frameworks.
• Experience applying digital tools to enhance plant reliability, throughput and cost efficiency.
