Assistant Reception Manager

About the role

Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz is looking for an Assistant Reception Manager to join its award‑winning front‑office team. This full‑time position works across day, evening and weekend shifts, supporting the Reception Manager and stepping in as the acting manager when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist all guests with a professional and engaging attitude.
• Manage check‑in and check‑out processes efficiently.
• Collaborate with the Reception Manager on staff scheduling and performance.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, checklists and quality standards.
• Maintain a positive workplace culture and act as a cultural ambassador.
• Train, coach and follow up with reception staff.
• Handle cash, credit transactions and confidential guest data securely.
• Promote upselling of hotel products and services.
• Support overall safety and security of guests and the property.

Required profile

• Responsible, upbeat individual with a strong service and quality focus.
• Adaptable and systematic, able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant experience in similar hospitality service roles.
• Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
