About the role

We are looking for a dedicated assistant to support daily operations and pedagogical activities in our kindergarten in Voss, starting around 15 January. The role involves contributing to the care and development of each child in line with Læringsverkstedet’s values and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the kindergarten runs according to the organisation’s value platform and quality standards.
• Build respectful relationships with children, listening to them and encouraging participation.
• Support care and pedagogical work, including group sessions, activities, free play, routines and practical tasks.
• Facilitate cooperation with parents and maintain open communication.
• Stay updated professionally by attending courses and training offered through Læringsverkstedet Academy.

Required profile

• Relationship‑oriented, attentive to each child’s needs and able to listen actively.
• Solution‑focused, flexible, collaborative and able to work independently with responsibility.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Warm, caring adult who identifies with Læringsverkstedet’s values.

Required skills

• Strong Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience working with children or in a similar caring role.
• Ability to implement safety measures when needed.
• Police clearance must be provided before employment.
