Chef for Hotel & Italian Restaurant in Oslo

About the role

Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Oslo and its Italian restaurant Osteria della Nonna are looking for a full‑time Chef. The role involves evening shift work with occasional daytime duties, preparing a variety of meals for guests and banquet events.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and banquet‑style meals
• Plan and allocate daily work tasks for the kitchen team
• Ensure quality control of all food production
• Manage item handling, stock control and inventory
• Maintain IK MAT / HACCP controls and routines
• Actively reduce food waste
• Provide general customer service in the dining area

Required profile

• Flexible, solution‑oriented and able to work varied shifts
• Committed to delivering engaging, personal customer service
• Relevant culinary qualifications and prior experience in a similar role
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written
• Interest in creating a great dining experience together with the team

Required skills

• Knowledge of Norwegian IK MAT / HACCP controls and routines
• Ability to work on reducing food waste
