Construction Reality Capture Technician
CloudFactory · Oslo
Job description
About the role
CloudFactory is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Construction Reality Capture Technician to support reality capture on large-scale active construction sites in and around Oslo. You will operate 360-degree cameras and other reality capture equipment to document construction progress, feeding data into AI systems that analyse and monitor construction projects. This is a hands-on field role spent mostly on active sites, outdoors in varying weather.
Key responsibilities
- Operate 360-degree cameras and other reality capture equipment to document construction sites
- Follow detailed technical capture instructions, including coverage, camera positioning, routes and sequencing
- Walk extensively across sites, including uneven terrain, and wear and use PPE correctly
- Follow site-specific health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures
- Report daily progress and flag access issues, hazards or safety concerns to the Project Team
- Handle, maintain and transport equipment responsibly, and complete capture records accurately
Required profile
- Ability to work outdoors for long periods and walk extensively across active sites
- Safety-first mindset and willingness to follow HSE requirements; safety is fundamental
- Reliability, punctuality and strong attention to detail
- Clear, proactive communication and ability to work independently while staying connected with the Project Team
- Ability to travel independently to sites in and around Oslo
- Nice to have: previous experience on active construction, civil engineering, surveying or infrastructure sites, and experience with 360-degree cameras, laser scanning or similar equipment
What we offer
- Hands-on experience with reality capture technology and training and development in the field
- Employment terms, statutory benefits and working conditions in line with Norwegian law
- Daytime hours (e.g. 07:00-16:00); overtime and rest periods paid in line with Norwegian labour law
- Travel expenses or mileage allowance where travel between sites or beyond public transit is needed
This is a project-based role; the expected duration depends on the construction project and is set out in the employment agreement. Safety training and induction are completed before site work, and the employer covers the required HMS/HSE card and provides all PPE.
