Design Engineer – IC Design

About the role

Silicon Labs' Oslo IC Design team is looking for a Design Engineer to join either the Analog or Digital Design group. You will help create and verify low‑power mixed‑signal SoCs for IoT applications, collaborating with hardware, software and marketing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design and verify analog and digital circuits for IoT products.
• Determine design approaches, parameters and custom layout, overseeing layout designers.
• Conduct laboratory measurements of ICs and report results through design reviews.

Required profile

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (new graduates and experienced candidates considered).
• Enthusiastic, creative, analytical and strong team player.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Verification skills (circuit simulation).
• Experience with Cadence design tools, Linux and Python (advantage).
• Digital design knowledge: digital logic, computer architecture, embedded systems, synthesis, timing and power/area trade‑offs.
• Analog design knowledge: OPAMP, power‑management circuits, ADC, DAC, oscillators, memories, bandgap references, PLL, layout trade‑offs.
• Laboratory measurement skills.
