Etterforsker GDE Follo/Østfold

About the role

The Geographical Operational Unit (GDE) Follo/Østfold is looking for motivated investigators to handle a variety of serious criminal cases across several police stations in the region. You will work both independently and as part of a team led by a senior police officer (PEL), primarily during daytime hours with occasional weekend duties.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, plan and execute investigative steps in assigned criminal cases.
• Manage a personal case portfolio and ensure thorough handling of each matter.
• Analyse digital seizures and trace electronic evidence.
• Perform additional tasks related to the investigative department as required.

Required skills

• Completed basic education from the Police Academy or Police School with a valid diploma at the date of hiring.
• For recruitment as a police officer (3/2), all competence criteria for the position must be met.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Norwegian.
• Impeccable personal record and suitability for police service, confirmed by a comprehensive police background check.
