Head of Technical Systems Department – Norconsult Helgeland

About the role

Norconsult Helgeland is looking for a department head for its Technical Systems department, which employs about 24 people and covers plumbing, electrical, fire protection, building physics, energy, ITB, water supply, roads and sustainability. The department works from offices in Mo i Rana and Mosjøen and is part of the leadership group for Norconsult Helgeland. Depending on your background, the role can also include selected project work.

Key responsibilities

• People and expertise: manage highly skilled employees, ensure the right competence, capacity and well-being, and lead future recruitment
• Market and customers: develop the department's customer portfolio, identify new projects and build strong relationships in Helgeland
• Operations and quality: budget and results responsibility, quality, risk management and profitable delivery of projects
• Strategy: take an active part in the leadership group to strengthen cooperation between offices and shape the overall strategy for Norconsult Helgeland

Required profile

• Higher education (engineer or civil engineer or equivalent), or another relevant background with solid industry understanding
• Experience in consulting, contracting, construction/property, industry or related sectors
• Leadership experience, either formal HR responsibility or project and assignment management
• Good business sense, local market focus and network-building ability
• Able to balance people, expertise, market and operations, and to turn high-level goals into concrete priorities
