About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled cook to join the kitchen team at Lom health home. The position is a 60 % permanent role starting 1 October 2026, with day‑time work and a rotating weekend shift every fourth weekend.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious and appealing meals for residents in the institution, the day‑center for people with dementia, and the home‑delivery service.
• Adapt meals to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Participate in the canteen and catering operations.
• Support other kitchen‑related tasks and activities as required.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a cook (fagbrev) – relevant experience will also be considered.
• Interest in food preparation, preferably with experience in large‑scale or institutional kitchens.
• Ability to collaborate well with colleagues and work independently.
• Flexible, initiative‑taking and service‑oriented attitude.
• Good Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.
• Basic computer literacy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard kitchen equipment and food safety procedures.
