Miljøarbeidar 20 % fast stilling

About the role

This permanent part‑time position (20 % of a full‑time role) supports children and young people with reduced functional abilities. The role is based in the Terna avlastning department of Øygarden municipality and works within a two‑shift schedule, including 12 weekends per year.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, supportive, and enjoyable daily experiences for children and youth.
• Deliver personal care and assistance tailored to individual needs.
• Follow medication routines according to established guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
• Participate in activity planning that promotes mastery, well‑being, and social interaction.

Required profile

• Authorized health‑care worker (helsefagarbeidar) or certified child‑ and youth‑worker.
• Good command of Norwegian, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver’s licence (class B) and at least 18 years of age.
• Flexibility, solution‑orientation, and a respectful, patient attitude toward children, families, and staff.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Experience with personal care and support for children with varying diagnoses.
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures.
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian.
