Night Receptionist

About the role

We are looking for a Night Receptionist to join Thon Hotel Bjørneparken on a permanent 80 % basis. The role works on a fixed schedule of seven nights on‑call followed by seven nights off, ensuring the hotel runs smoothly throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the front desk during night hours, welcoming guests and handling check‑ins and check‑outs.
• Oversee night‑time hotel operations, including security checks and incident reporting.
• Provide information and assistance to guests, addressing requests promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments and night‑shift logs.
• Handle unexpected situations calmly and find practical solutions.

Required profile

• Comfortable working independently during night shifts.
• Strong sense of responsibility and customer service orientation.
• Ability to stay calm and solution‑focused when challenges arise.
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy for reservation systems.
