Summer Intern - Nitric Acid Process Catalyst

About the role

Yara Technology Center in Porsgrunn is seeking a summer intern to work on a project evaluating potential catalysts for the nitric acid production process. The internship lasts 6‑8 weeks between June and August 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Perform activity measurements of catalyst samples under various process conditions.
• Characterize catalyst materials using laboratory techniques.
• Analyze and interpret characterization results.
• Prepare reports and present findings in English.

Required profile

• Student in at least the 3rd year, preferably entering the final year after the internship.
• Background in chemical or materials science; knowledge of catalysts or materials characterization is a plus.
• Good practical laboratory skills and ability to work independently with a focus on HSE.
• Fluent in English and/or Norwegian.
