Summer Student Geotechnics 2027 – Region West

About the role

Norconsult Region West is looking for motivated summer students to join its geotechnical team in 2027. You will work on real‑world projects across construction, transport and infrastructure, gaining hands‑on experience in a leading Norwegian consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in geotechnical design and advisory tasks for building and infrastructure projects.
• Support ground investigation activities and field work.
• Help prepare foundation, excavation and stability assessments.
• Contribute to the development of calculations, models and technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large‑scale projects.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a civil engineering or geotechnical program with a focus on geotechnics.
• Completed at least three years of study by summer 2027.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn from experienced consultants.
• Good communication skills in Norwegian, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
