Technical Leader / Acting Technical Leader – Heavy Truck Mechanic

About the role

TIP Group is looking for a skilled and engaged mechanic or technician in Bryne who wants to take the next step in their career. The role is first and foremost practical work in the workshop on trucks, trailers and other heavy equipment, with opportunities to develop towards the position of technical leader. You do not need all the required training today; the company provides the necessary courses and training through the job.

Key responsibilities

• EU inspection of trucks, trailers and semi-trailers
• Service, maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers
• Diagnosis of modern heavy trucks and mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs
• Inspection and correction of faults, documentation of work done and technical problem solving
• Acting as deputy technical leader when needed and supporting colleagues
• Keep the workshop running smoothly and safely; some shift work is expected

Required profile

• Vocational qualification as a mechanic, preferably in heavy vehicles
• Relevant experience with trucks, trailers or other heavy vehicles
• Good mechanical understanding and interest in the trade
• Independent, structured and accurate work, with a good sense of responsibility
• Spoken and written Norwegian
• Driving licence category C/CE is an advantage; training is provided if you do not have it
