Director of AI Enablement

About the role

We're looking for a Director of AI Enablement at Oda, a leading online grocery retailer in Norway. The role will drive Oda’s AI maturity agenda, shaping the company’s AI strategy and operating model as part of a multi‑year initiative to become an “AI‑mature” organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize AI opportunities across support, commercial and operations functions, defending business outcomes and ROI to leadership.
• Design the AI operating model, including training, governance, team composition and tool adoption.
• Grow and run Oda’s internal AI community, raising AI capability across all functions.
• Prototype and ship the first working version of internal AI tools or workflows, then hand them off to product teams.
• Own the executive narrative on AI adoption, tracking impact and providing clear status updates to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior technical leadership experience (e.g., staff/principal engineer, technical director, VP of engineering, or founder) with a track record of setting direction and delivering impact.
• Ability to switch between high‑level strategic discussions with executives and hands‑on coding in the same day.
• Experience owning outcomes in front of leadership, presenting trade‑offs and being accountable for measurable results.
• Current technical depth with LLM APIs, prompt architecture, agent frameworks and both low‑code and full‑code development.
• Experience running programs, workshops or communities for mixed technical and non‑technical audiences.
• High autonomy, confidence to set direction in ambiguous environments, and professional fluency in English.
