Senior Engineer

About the role

Flynn is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to manage construction works across the Nordics, ensuring safety, compliance with drawings, specifications and building regulations. You will join a high‑performing project team delivering critical environment projects for blue‑chip clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assume day‑to‑day management of site technical and engineering requirements (RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, design workshops, etc.).
• Implement quality control measures in line with the project’s BCAR plan.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners and quantity surveyors during planning and construction.
• Support the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to keep works on programme and budget while maintaining high standards.
• Identify information gaps, develop solutions and rectify issues with project and design teams.
• Maintain excellent relationships with the construction project team and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Engineer on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, inspection test plans, quality documentation and defect prevention.
• Highly competent in setting out, surveying, levelling and managing site control systems.
• Knowledge of various construction types and techniques, including temporary works coordination.
• Strong numeracy, report‑writing skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
