Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Flynn is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its project teams across the Nordics. The role involves managing multiple construction projects, maximising commercial returns and maintaining strong client relationships in critical environments such as data centres, life‑science facilities and high‑value manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Track project deliverables, budgets and cost‑control procedures, ensuring commercial and administrative systems are applied.
• Lead commercial teams, drive project delivery and oversee commercial planning and implementation.
• Review tender documentation to identify risks, opportunities and potential gains.
• Approve selected contractors and suppliers and manage contractual correspondence, including EOT notifications and claims.
• Monitor project progress to keep it on time and within budget, reporting actual costs versus estimates and addressing variances.
• Prepare and manage sub‑contracts, ensuring compliance with scope, payments and programme submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics or equivalent recognised by SCSI/RICS.
• Minimum 5 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (RIAI, FIDIC, JCT, etc.) and commercial acumen.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and secure repeat business.
• Excellent attention to detail and capability to negotiate and resolve contractual issues.
