Pedagogisk leder for barnehage i Drammen

About the role

We are seeking an engaged, confident and playful Pedagogical Leader to join Nøstodden Kindergarten in Drammen. The position carries both administrative and pedagogical responsibility for one of the four sections, ensuring children feel valued, parents feel safe, and staff can perform at their best.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture a strong culture based on the centre’s core values, making them visible in daily actions.
• Lead the pedagogical and administrative work of your section and actively participate in the kindergarten’s leadership team.
• Ensure a safe, supportive everyday environment for children and facilitate collaboration with parents and external partners.
• Participate actively in play and daily activities, meeting children’s needs through care and interaction.
• Develop and enhance the pedagogical offering and contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
• Plan daily operations and co‑create the annual plan together with staff and the director.

Required profile

• Motivation to contribute, listen, share experiences and strengthen collective ambitions.
• Strong knowledge of child learning and development, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
• Ability to organise work, adapt to children’s needs and provide clear, generous leadership.
• Excellent communication, solution‑oriented and structured approach.
• Enjoyment of working with children, teamwork orientation and respect for the organisation’s values.
