Assistent – barnehage (svangerskapsvikariat)

About the role

We are looking for an assistant/fagarbeider to cover a maternity leave position at Læringsverkstedet Opphaug, with the possibility of on‑call work at both Opphaug and Ervika locations. The role involves supporting daily operations and pedagogical activities in a kindergarten environment, aligned with the organisation’s values.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the kindergarten operates in line with Læringsverkstedet’s value platform and quality standards.
• Build equal, respectful relationships with children, encouraging participation and confidence.
• Assist with care and educational tasks such as group sessions, activities, free play and routine situations.
• Support collaboration with parents and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Maintain professional development by attending courses offered through Læringsverkstedet Akademiet.

Required profile

• Relationship‑oriented, attentive to each child’s needs and communication.
• Solution‑focused, flexible, collaborative and able to work independently.
• Good Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to identify with Læringsverkstedet’s values and work with children of diverse backgrounds.

Required skills

• Experience working with people or in a similar childcare role.
• Ability to implement safety measures and act as an active adult with children.
• Basic cooking knowledge for children is an advantage.
