About the role

We are looking for two qualified preschool teachers to fill a 100 % maternity‑leave substitute position starting between January and March. The role involves creating a safe, engaging learning environment and implementing the values and quality standards of Læringsverkstedet.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure daily operations align with Læringsverkstedet’s value platform.
• Create a secure, stimulating learning environment for children and staff.
• Share knowledge about child development and support professional growth within the kindergarten.
• Guide and support colleagues in pedagogical and methodological work.
• Lead evaluation activities and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with parents and facilitate good cooperation.
• Act as deputy for the pedagogical leader when absent.

Required profile

• Relationship‑oriented, attentive to each child’s needs and communication.
• Ambitious, caring, and able to inspire participation in children’s play and development.
• Solution‑focused, flexible, collaborative and able to communicate with diverse families.
• Comfortable with new challenges, works well under pressure, responsible and independent.
• Embodies warmth, empathy, ambition and clarity, and aligns with Læringsverkstedet’s values.

Required skills

• Approved higher education degree as a preschool teacher or early‑childhood educator.
• Experience in a kindergarten is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to obtain a police clearance before employment.
• Personal suitability will be assessed during selection.
