Full‑time Receptionist for Modern Business Hotel

About the role

Thon Hotel Polar is looking for a dedicated receptionist to join its front‑desk team on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will work rotating day and evening shifts, including one weekend out of every three, providing a warm welcome to guests in a modern business hotel located in central Tromsø.

Key responsibilities

• Greet all guests professionally and enthusiastically.
• Handle check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Manage the central phone line and respond to all inquiries.
• Maintain a tidy and inviting reception and lobby area.
• Protect guest privacy and handle personal data confidentially.
• Ensure the safety of guests and the hotel.
• Promote upselling of hotel products and services.
• Process cash and credit‑card transactions.
• Perform various ad‑hoc reception tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in similar hospitality roles.
• Responsible, team‑oriented, and able to spread good mood.
• Service‑ and quality‑focused with strong adaptability to a busy environment.
• Systematic work style with high capacity for handling tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
