Murex Subject Matter Expert (m/f/d)

About the role

Statkraft, Europe's largest renewable energy producer, is looking for an enthusiastic Murex Subject Matter Expert to strengthen the team behind the trading and risk management department's system portfolio. Murex is the main trading and risk management system used at Statkraft's offices in Oslo, Trondheim, Stockholm, London, Düsseldorf, Stamford, Amsterdam and São Paulo. The role sits within the ETRM solutions team and takes a leading part in developing the system portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Murex support for all relevant business processes in front, middle and back office
• Implement new commodity products in Murex
• Develop technical solutions based on business requirements
• Perform functional configurations across the Murex system
• Re-engineer existing configurations into new, sustainable solutions
• Work closely with the business and the vendor

Required profile

• Proven track record in Murex, typically as Business Analyst or Developer in financial institutions or the energy trading industry
• Strong expertise in Murex, including system functionalities, configuration and operational processes
• Broad understanding of, and interest in, financial, commodity and energy markets
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive, adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments
• University degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
• Fluent English

Required skills

• Solid SQL knowledge, preferably with Oracle databases
• Programming experience is an advantage
• Understanding of enterprise systems, complex integrations and interfaces, Linux-based environments, and Murex application services and processing workflows
