Project Manager - Subsea Testing

About the role

Motive Offshore Group delivers equipment rental, manufacturing and Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) services across the global energy industry. The Project Manager - Subsea Testing is responsible for end-to-end delivery of subsea testing projects in Norway, from contract award through planning, mobilisation, execution and close-out. Based in Stavanger, the role manages complex, multi-discipline projects for tier-one operators and subsea contractors, acting as the primary client contact during execution and leading the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client-facing meetings (kick-offs, progress and risk reviews, test procedure reviews, close-out) and issue regular project reports
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, margin and invoicing, and recover variations, orders and requests (VORs)
• Provide technical input to tenders, including cost estimates, schedules and execution plans
• Develop project execution plans, oversee test procedures, test programmes and risk assessments, and coordinate equipment function testing, certification and mobilisation
• Manage interfaces with clients, contractors, vessels, vendors and subcontractors, and liaise with the Technical Authority on job specifications
• Plan project logistics, including personnel, travel, accommodation and offshore mobilisation
• Prepare Project Management Status Reviews (PMSR) and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
• Manage scope changes through formal change control, ensure compliance with HSEQ and Norwegian regulations, and support audits

Required profile

• Proven track record managing complex subsea projects end to end for tier-one clients
• Demonstrable experience in subsea testing, pre-commissioning or subsea installation projects
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, margin and contract variations
• Experience reporting project performance to senior management
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
