Senior Construction Engineer (RIB) – Stavanger

About the role

Asplan Viak is looking for an experienced senior construction engineer (RIB) to join its Stavanger office and help build up a strong local construction community. You will work on interesting, socially beneficial projects within a strong multidisciplinary advisory team, with a central role in both projects and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and advise on construction for building and infrastructure projects
• Take responsibility for and give technical advice on projects
• Help establish and strengthen the construction profession at the Stavanger office
• Work closely with architects, planners and other technical disciplines
• Take part in tendering and customer follow-up, and help develop customer relationships in the region
• Share knowledge with colleagues across offices and disciplines
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable solutions

Required profile

• Higher education in construction or equivalent
• Solid experience as a consulting civil engineer (RIB) or similar
• Experience in multidisciplinary construction projects
• Interest in professional development and knowledge sharing
• Good communication skills in Norwegian, spoken and written

Required skills

• Competence in designing and sizing structures
• Knowledge of design tools and current standards
