Security Architect

About the role

Sopra Steria is looking for a security architect in Trondheim to design and implement robust security solutions in complex IT environments, both public and private sectors. You will play a central role in digitalisation projects where security is built in from the start, using concepts such as Zero Trust, micro-segmentation and security in hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design security architecture supporting the business needs and risk profile, with a focus on Zero Trust and micro-segmentation.
• Specify and implement solutions for Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), Fortinet (FortiGate/FortiManager), VMware NSX, Microsoft Defender or SentinelOne, and secure cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) with tools such as Azure Defender and AWS Security Hub.
• Advise on technology choices and security measures in hybrid infrastructure, based on maturity and needs.
• Work closely with operations, development and management to ensure good implementation, governance and ownership of security measures.
• Assess risk and compliance so that security requirements are well embedded across the organisation.
• Promote a security culture and best practices in projects and teams.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in IT architecture and security design.
• Hands-on experience with networks, infrastructure and security solutions.
• Experience with Zero Trust frameworks, micro-segmentation and platform security.
• Good communication skills, able to embed security technically and strategically.
• Relevant education and preferably certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF or CCIE Security.
