Strategy Business Analyst - Power Derivatives (VIE)

About the role

Nord Pool, part of Euronext, is looking for a Strategy Business Analyst (VIE) for its Power Derivatives team. The position is based in Oslo and starts in January 2027 for an initial period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. You will report to the Head of Power Derivatives and work closely with experts in energy trading and power markets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and scaling of the Power Derivatives business line through business development, market analysis and project coordination.
• Collaborate with departments across Euronext Group, including Sales, Product, Finance and Legal, to ensure alignment and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
• Monitor the competitive landscape, conduct screening analysis and report on business performance.
• Carry out market analysis to identify opportunities and customer needs, including desktop research, client meetings and conference attendance.
• Analyse business performance, identify improvements and propose actionable solutions.
• Support the onboarding of new clients together with the Nord Pool sales team and the Euronext membership department.
• Produce spreadsheets and presentations to communicate results and recommendations.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as expansion into new markets or the launch of new products.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in business, economics, finance or engineering.
• At least one successful internship or work experience in the energy industry, strategy consulting or a fast-growing business.
• Experience analysing data, creating reports and presentations, and working with large data sets.
• Fluent English; French or a Nordic language is a plus.
• Strong interest in energy economics, power markets and the energy sector.
• Project management experience.
• Excellent planning, organisational, problem-solving, time management and communication skills.
• Fast learner with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, able to work autonomously and adapt to shifting priorities.
