Chefs needed for hotel and island restaurant (full- and part-time)

About the role

Thon Hotel Fosnavåg and its island restaurant Skotholmen are looking for enthusiastic chefs for both full‑time (100%) and part‑time (50%) positions. You will work across breakfast, lunch, à la carte and banquet services, splitting your time between the hotel kitchen and the historic Skotholmen venue.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and produce breakfast, lunch, dinner and banquet meals.
• Plan and follow up daily work distribution among kitchen staff.
• Ensure quality control of all food production.
• Handle inventory, stock control and ordering.
• Maintain HACCP (food safety) standards.
• Provide general guest service and reduce food waste.
• Occasionally lead small groups, courses or conferences independently.

Required profile

• Vocational certificate in culinary arts or relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of HACCP food safety procedures.
• Motivated to create excellent food experiences.
• Flexible, solution‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Responsible with strong communication skills in Norwegian and English.
