Construction Site Manager

About the role

Fron Bygg, part of Solstein Gruppen, is looking for a construction site manager in Lillehammer. You will lead production on site and make sure work follows specifications, approved drawings, schedules and health, safety and quality requirements. You work closely with the project manager and act as a link between your team, subcontractors, suppliers and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead the construction process for assigned projects together with the project manager
• Make sure work follows specifications, approved drawings and schedules
• Plan and follow up orders, deliveries of materials and equipment and logistics on site
• Follow up agreements, progress and quality with subcontractors and suppliers
• Take part in budget and cost control reviews with the project manager
• Ensure safe, tidy and high-quality execution of projects
• Follow up your own workers and subcontractors
• Work actively on health and safety throughout the process and contribute to a good working environment

Required profile

• Experience in the construction industry, preferably as site manager, foreman, foreman's assistant, production manager or similar
• Solid understanding of construction, preferably with experience in concrete, rough-in work or larger projects
• Experience planning, coordinating and following up site work, and with subcontractors and suppliers
• Understanding of budgets, cost calculations and project economics
• Clear focus on health and safety, quality and safe completion
• Good communication skills and strong Norwegian, spoken and written
