Director of AI Enablement
Oda
Job description
About the role
Oda, which builds affordable grocery services including Norway's leading online grocery store, is looking for a Director of AI Enablement. The role reports directly to the CTO and sets the AI agenda, strategy and tools so that every team can turn AI into measurable business impact. It plugs into two ongoing initiatives: a single toolchain for in-office AI productivity and a pull-not-push operating model where central AI provides training, tools and platform support while leaders and teams own delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Decide, with real authority, which AI opportunities across support, commercial and operations are worth the organisation's time, and defend them in terms of business outcomes and ROI
- Shape how AI capability is built into the operating model: training, governance and team composition
- Grow and run the internal AI community across every function and raise AI capability to a real floor level
- Prototype and ship the first working version of a new internal AI tool or workflow, then hand it off
- Own the executive narrative on what good AI adoption looks like and where the strategy stands
Required profile
- Senior technical leadership track record (staff/principal engineer, technical director, VP of engineering or founder) with a history of setting direction that delivered impact
- Fluency between executive-level trade-offs and hands-on coding, with the ability to build something real
- Experience presenting trade-offs and defending priorities to leadership
- Experience running programmes, workshops or communities for mixed technical and non-technical audiences
- High autonomy and professional fluency in English
Required skills
- LLM APIs and prompt architecture
- Agent frameworks
- Low-code or full-code tools, well enough to build something real
What we offer
- A mandate with direct executive sponsorship and a live 2027 strategy you help write
- Compensation and scope matched to a senior technical leadership hire
- A fast-moving company with real operational scale and engineering maturity
- A flat structure with high trust and low bureaucracy
- A social office at Tøyen with daily lunch prepared by in-house chefs
Applications close on 18 October and are reviewed on a rolling basis. The position is full-time, hybrid, based in Tøyen.
