Fullstack iOS Developer
Oda
Job description
About the role
Oda builds affordable grocery services, starting with Norway's leading online grocery store and now partnering with Mathem in Sweden. The Fullstack iOS Developer joins the Shop team, which owns the apps, web shop, marketing tools, notifications, payment and accounts. The role focuses on iOS development of the Oda app, covering browsing, search, product pages, cart and checkout, while also understanding and contributing to the backend systems that support the mobile experience.
Key responsibilities
- Build and improve core iOS shopping flows such as browsing, search, product pages, cart and checkout.
- Take features from idea through implementation, shipping, measurement and iteration.
- Work closely with Android, web and backend engineers so the shopping experience feels consistent across platforms.
- Understand the APIs, contracts and backend systems powering the iOS app, and learn and contribute to app-specific backend code.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to solve customer problems, not just implement specifications.
- Help evolve the mobile architecture and engineering practices, and care about loading states, offline and failure scenarios, performance, accessibility and error handling.
Required profile
- Experience building native iOS applications, ideally with Swift and modern iOS technologies.
- Comfortable working with APIs and interested in what happens beyond the client.
- Willing to learn and contribute to backend code; previous backend experience is useful but not required.
- Enjoys ownership of a problem from the customer experience down through the technical layers, and works well in a team.
Required skills
- Native iOS development, preferably in Swift
- APIs and backend code
What we offer
- A flat structure with a transparent way of working, using Slack and fewer meetings.
- A buzzing office at Tøyen with in-house chefs.
- Room to grow as a product engineer with broader ownership of the systems behind the app.
The position is full-time and hybrid, based in Tøyen, and applications close on 18 October.
