Freight Dispatcher – Road & Sea Freight (Drammen)

About the role

JAS, an international supply chain services company offering air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage and more, is looking for an experienced, solution-oriented dispatcher for its Drammen office. You will handle transport orders in and out of Norway, working closely with customers, carriers and colleagues across the JAS network.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, book and follow up road and sea shipments nationally and internationally
• Handle transport orders from booking to final delivery
• Find effective solutions for customers' transport and logistics needs
• Work daily with customers, carriers, suppliers and colleagues in the international network
• Follow up cross-border shipments and their documentation
• Handle invoicing, cost estimation and profitability follow-up
• Help develop existing and new local customer relationships and improve processes

Required profile

• Experience as a dispatcher, preferably in an all-round operational role
• Strong experience with road freight and sea freight and container transport
• Good understanding of international transport and logistics
• Knowledge of customs and border procedures is an advantage
• Good Norwegian and English, spoken and written
• Customer-focused, accurate under pressure, proactive and good team player

Required skills

• Transport systems such as CargoWise (C1) and/or Emma
• Good IT skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office
