Global Lead Cash and Market Systems

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council is seeking an experienced humanitarian leader to shape its global Cash & Market Systems agenda. This senior position will influence how the organisation delivers assistance at scale across displacement contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement NRC’s global vision and strategic direction for cash and market systems.
• Lead a pooled, multi‑disciplinary team to ensure high‑quality programme delivery in over 35 countries.
• Develop and uphold standards for cash transfer programming and market interventions.
• Guide country programmes to support local markets after shocks and to improve market functionality for beneficiaries.
• Represent NRC in external forums, partnerships, and donor engagements related to cash and market systems.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in humanitarian cash transfer and market systems.
• Proven track record of programme development and strategic leadership in multi‑country settings.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive systemic change.
• Deep understanding of displacement‑focused humanitarian operations.
