Head of Enterprise IT

About the role

Sensio builds welfare technology used by health and care services, and is looking for a Head of Enterprise IT to build and develop its Enterprise IT function. The goal is to move from traditional IT administration toward a modern, engineering-oriented function with strong automation, clear standards and close collaboration with the rest of the technology organization.

Key responsibilities

• Automate how IT is run, writing automation and Infrastructure as Code yourself using Git, peer review and engineering practices
• Simplify and prioritize existing processes, challenge requests and set clear ownership
• Own IT from identity and devices to business systems and integrations, covering reliable operations, security and continuous improvement
• Build and lead the function, creating roles and a way of working that scales
• Establish a secure foundation for AI use, prototype solutions and create reusable capabilities

Required profile

• Technical background and experience leading or rebuilding an Enterprise IT, Corporate IT or similar function
• Comfortable introducing new security measures gradually, monitoring first and enforcing later
• Enjoys people as much as technology and can bring engineers and the business along
• Uses past failures to make better decisions

Required skills

• IaC, Git, CI/CD, APIs and cloud
• Plus: Entra ID, Intune, FreeIPA, EDR, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell, ISO 27001 and change management
