Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and solution‑oriented Maintenance Technician for our brand‑new chemical process facility at Grini. The successful candidate will ensure operational reliability, maintain the plant’s technical process systems and uphold a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment safely.
• Troubleshoot and repair pipes, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, motors and process instrumentation.
• Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes.
• Document work performed in the maintenance system (CMMS).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and equipment lifespan.
• Coordinate collaboration with external maintenance contractors and work closely with production teams.
• Help develop and improve the maintenance workshop while following current safety procedures.

Required profile

• Vocational certificate in industrial mechanics, pipefitting, automation, electrical or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a process industry, preferably chemical or petrochemical.
• Knowledge of ATEX, pressure testing and working in explosive environments is a plus.
• Good Norwegian and English communication skills, both spoken and written.
