About the role

We are looking for a dedicated environmental therapist to work in a shift schedule, providing relational care and support to children and adolescents in an institutional setting in Oslo.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established frameworks and standardized processes for therapeutic work.
• Provide relational care and support to children and youth.
• Collaborate with other therapists to implement therapeutic measures.
• Facilitate social interaction and organize individual and group activities.
• Prepare written and oral reports.
• Perform practical tasks within the department.

Required profile

• Qualified as a child welfare educator, special educator, or social worker (or equivalent higher education approved under the Quality Regulation).
• Experience in institutional work and therapeutic work with children and youth.
• Experience in school, family, health or nutrition work is desirable.
• Valid driver’s licence class B.
• Recent police clearance (not older than 3 months).
• Strong relational skills, ability to place children’s participation at the centre.
• Open, humble, reflective attitude towards children, families and colleagues.
• Resilience in demanding situations, good communication and teamwork abilities.
