Night Receptionist (80% position)

About the role

Thon Hotel Tromsø is looking for a night receptionist for a permanent 80% position, with a start date at the end of November. You will join a dedicated team that creates memorable experiences for guests during the night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Greet all guests in a professional and engaging manner.
• Handle guest check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Operate the central switchboard and manage all incoming inquiries.
• Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception and lobby area.
• Treat personal data confidentially and ensure guest and hotel safety.
• Actively promote and upsell hotel products and services.
• Manage cash and credit transactions.
• Perform various ad‑hoc reception tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in similar receptionist or front‑desk roles.
• Responsible, adaptable and able to thrive in a busy environment.
• Positive attitude and enjoys teamwork.
• Service‑ and quality‑oriented.
• Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
• Systematic work style with high capacity for handling tasks.
