Principal Advisor – Enterprise Architecture

About the role

Devoteam, a technology consultancy active for more than 30 years, is looking for a Principal Advisor in enterprise architecture in Oslo. You will advise C-level executives and IT directors on managing, modernising and securing complex hybrid application and data landscapes, and turn architectural complexity into business value.

Key responsibilities

• Advise C-level and IT directors on holistic management, modernisation and security of hybrid application and data landscapes.
• Establish architecture principles that balance seamless data flow and scalable AI use with data governance, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
• Translate architecture, technical debt, security risks and AI opportunities into business priorities and cost control for boards, management and subject matter experts.
• Set up pragmatic governance models based on frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, ITIL 4 and NIST, linked to agile delivery models like SAFe and DevOps.
• Lead enterprise architecture within Devoteam, working closely with Cyber Security, Cloud, Data and AI specialists and taking part in sales and customer development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing, operating, evolving and securing complex application landscapes from consulting firms or large organisations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, privacy and risk management integrated into architecture.
• Able to talk to developers and product owners about integration patterns and security, and present visions and business cases to senior leaders.
• Pragmatic approach to frameworks, using them flexibly rather than rigidly.

Required skills

• Certification or good experience with TOGAF, ArchiMate, ITIL and similar frameworks.
• Data governance and cybersecurity awareness.
