Product Compliance Engineer

About the role

Cisco Norway's Devices innovation center, located just outside Oslo, designs video devices, desktop systems and digital whiteboards. Its Lysaker Compliance team is looking for a compliance engineer with experience in safety, EMC, radio and sustainable design, testing and certification. The role is hybrid, with three days of in-office attendance per week in Lysaker.

Key responsibilities

• Work on the development of Cisco video products, focusing on their safety, EMC and radio functionality.
• Perform the relevant compliance tests on prototypes in the internal labs.
• Be responsible for a product's global certification, both before and after market launch.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree plus 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with product approval and certification.
• Fluent in English.
• Preferred: proven experience developing and prototyping electronic systems.

Required skills

• Preferred: product design and test based on IEC 62368-1 (or 60950-1) for safety, EN 55032/35 and the EN 61000 series for EMC, and global certification for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
• Preferred: knowledge of Python and/or C programming.
